CHELSEA NEWS: MOURINHO VS MATA

Mourinho second coming to stanford bridge hasn't realy being as magnificient as many would have  expected, largely due to his inconsistency in team selections.
Players like Juan Mata, was an integral part of the chelsea  team  that won  the  Europa league last  season, registering numerous assist and goals; that  few would question his emergence as chelsea's best player  then.

Since the arrival of the ''special one'' Juan Mata has barely played a full 90minutes, and rarely does he even get a start.
Juan Mata is no doubt a  talented footballer, but Mourinho is a manager who loves players with great defensive awareness which unfortunately  Mata lacks. Perhaps with proper defensive midfielders behind him, tidying his mess up, why would he (Mata) be defensively minded at the expense of his creativity, attacking wise?
Oscar might have justified Mouinho's reason of leaving Juan Mata on the bench for better part of this season with some mesmeric display in attack and complementing it with some defensive exhibition.
Juan Mata no doubt is frustrated at his lack of quality playing time  - as displayed on new year's day victory when he was substituted by Oscar who later stole the shows with a goal and an assist to the amazement of  few- and may decide to call it quit with the blues if situation doesn't change any time soon with the world cup on the horizon.
Reports according to mirrow's John Cross, the dynamic midfield ochestrator is set to meet with chelsea's shot callers to discuss his future at the club.

Mourinho said: ''I want to keep him. I want to keep him. I don’t want him to go. That’s my opinion, my wish.
But my door is open and the club’s door is open too. When a player wants to speak with us we are there waiting.”

Cross added that Mata is reportedly "angry" with his
recent treatment at Chelsea, specifically his early
exit from the Blues' 3-0 win over Southampton on
Jan. 1.
After scoring a dozen goals in league play a season
ago, Mata has failed to score through his first 13
league appearances in 2013-14. And with Mata
hoping to earn a spot on Spain's World Cup 2014
roster next summer, it's no wonder he's looking for
a fresh start in a new role.
