There are no doubt that the biggest footballing competition in the world and by far the most watched is FIFA world cup and this year it will be taking place in Brazil starting from 12th june, with 32 teams competing for one trophy.
For all their great exploit in their respective league and clubs, these set of player would have bitten or might still be bitting their nail when reality struck them that they wont be in Brazil for the global show piece which is quite hard to condole.
Peter Czech (Czech Republic): The veteran chelsea stopper has played in the world cup once back in Germany 2006, but could not help his team scale through their group.
David Alaba (Austria): The young Nigerian born Austrian has marvelled the whole worldd with his pace and intelligence on the pitch for both Bayern Munich and Austria. He was so unlucky not to miss the party in Brazil after scoring six goals in the qualifiers, perhaps he's still young and has tentative three more world cup years ahead.
Branislav Ivanovic (serbia): The chelsea defender has been one the most consistent and reliable performer in the Premier League but not help his country book the place in Brazil.
Daniel Agger (Denmark): A strong a versatile defender that isnt shy of attacking and getting the goal could do just enough to help his team secure a spot at the global party even after finishing as their top scorer in the qualifier.
Nemanja Vidic (Serbia): Nemanja vidic played very little part in serbias qualifiers but did not stop them from being kicked-out. For all their arrays of defenders they still conceeded goal that later took it toll on them.
Marek Hamsik (Slovakia): An influential figure on and off the pitch for both Napoli and Slovakia, Marek really did his best in his country world cup qualifying runs. He's played at the world cup once in South Africa 2010 and he still has atleast one more shot at the world cup before thinking of retiring.
Christian Eriksen (Denmark): The former Ajax man may not have find his form in the EPL since arrival but was one the top assist racker in Europe last season. Its sad that his country could not make it to the show piece in brazil, but at 20 he still has plenty years ahead and hopefully he can make it to the world cup.
Aaron Ramsey (Wales): For all the great names wales has produced in world football -Ryan Giggs, Ian Rush, Mark Hughs to mention a few- they has not been able to qualify for a major tournament. The current captain and Arsenal midfield, Aaron "Rambo" Ramsey even being in the form of his life could still not have a say to that fact.
Gareth Bale (Wales): The world's most expensive player just like his compatriots may never play at the biggest stage of football. For his pace, dribbles annd goal scoring ability, he could do enough to help his country qualify for brazil.
Robert Lewandowksi (Poland): One of the best goal machine in the world right now, the Pole could not change his country's destiny with his goals and so will have to do with TV come june.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden): What is world cup without Zlatan? Its like a worldcup without trophy without Zlatan!
Gave all that there is to give to help book a space in Brazil for his coutry but Cristiano Ronaldo had other plans. Zlatan will be badly missed in Brazil!
