The Gunner were on top gear in the first half as the outclassed Villa in a robust display of total football with flair. It took them 34 minutes to find the back of the net through Jack wilshere who slotted a cool finish after being set by Nacho Monreal. It did not take too long to double their advantage and wilshere turned provider this time with a sumptuous chip over the defence for oliver Giroud who beats his markers with a beautiful first touch before firing past Guzan in villa goal.

Manchester city earned another away victory at saint james' park after beating Newcastle united 2-0. Edin Dzeko slides City in front in the 8th minutes before controversy strucked when the lineman instigated the centre referee to disallow a cheik Tiote's breath-taking screamer which left Alan pardew furious. Daniel Sturridge came on for Coutinho to layoff for Suarez to score a superb curler. There was still time for drammer as Walters pulled one for the potter to give them a dim hope but that hope was squash away by Daniel sturridge to seal the victory for Liverpool.

Chelsea had Edin Hazard to thank for their victory over Hull city 2-0. The belgian was a thorn on the skin of the tiger's defence through the game and it was no suprise when the fired Chelsea in front in the 56th minute before Fernando Torres score late in the game to propell the Blue to a momentarily first position.
